- Profile Information: Responses to onboarding questions including your hobbies, interests, hopes, strengths, weaknesses, and relationship preferences
- Weekly Check-ins: Your answers to weekly reflective questions
- Partner Connection: Your partner's username for connection purposes
- Messages: Content of messages you send to your partner through the app
- Payment Information: Processed through Apple's App Store (we do not store credit card details)
1.2 Information Collected Automatically
- Usage Data: Information about how you interact with the app, including features accessed and time spent
- Device Information: Device type, operating system version, unique device identifiers
- Log Data: IP address, app crash reports, and system activity

We do not collect:
- Precise geolocation data
- Photos or videos from your device
- Contacts from your device
- Health or fitness data
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Provide Core Services: Generate AI-powered questions, challenges, gift suggestions, and date plans personalized to your relationship
- Facilitate Partner Connection: Connect you with your partner and enable messaging
- Deliver Content: Send daily inspirational quotes and weekly check-in prompts
- Process Subscriptions: Manage your premium subscription through Apple's In-App Purchase system
- Improve the App: Analyze usage patterns to enhance features and user experience
- Communicate: Send important updates about the app, respond to your inquiries
- Security: Detect and prevent fraud, abuse, and security incidents
3. Third-Party Services
3.1 Anthropic API
We use Anthropic's Claude AI API to generate personalized questions, challenges, insights, and recommendations. When you use AI-powered features, the following information is sent to Anthropic:
- Your profile information (hobbies, interests, relationship preferences)
- Your partner's profile information (if you've chosen to share check-in content)
- Your weekly check-in responses (only content you've marked as shareable)
- Context necessary to generate personalized content

3.2 Firebase (Google)
We use Firebase for:
- Authentication: Secure user login and account management
- Cloud Firestore: Storing and syncing your profile, check-ins, and messages with your partner
- Cloud Messaging: Sending push notifications for new messages, challenges, and quotes

3.3 Web Search (Gift Finder Feature)
When you use the Gift Finder feature, we may perform web searches based on your partner's interests. Search queries do not include personally identifiable information.
3.4 Apple Services
- Sign in with Apple: Used for authentication (we receive only your email or private relay address)
- StoreKit: Manages in-app purchases and subscriptions (Apple processes all payment information)
- Push Notifications: Delivered via Apple Push Notification service
4. Data Sharing and Disclosure
4.1 With Your Partner
The app is designed for couples. Information you explicitly choose to share becomes visible to your connected partner, including:
- Profile information you've provided during onboarding
- Weekly check-in responses you've marked as shareable (you control this)
- Messages you send through the app
- Your responses to knowledge game questions about them
4.2 With Service Providers
We share data with third-party service providers only as necessary to operate the app:
- Anthropic (AI-powered features)
- Google Firebase (backend infrastructure, authentication, messaging)
- Apple (payment processing, authentication)
4.3 We Do Not Sell Your Data
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties for marketing purposes.
4.4 Legal Requirements
We may disclose your information if required by law, court order, or government regulation, or if we believe disclosure is necessary to:
- Comply with legal obligations
- Protect our rights, property, or safety
- Prevent fraud or abuse

5. Data Storage and Security
5.1 Where We Store Data
- Local Storage: Profile data and check-ins are stored locally on your device using SwiftData
- Cloud Storage: Synced to Firebase Cloud Firestore (Google Cloud, US region) for partner visibility and backup
5.2 How We Protect Your Data
We implement industry-standard security measures:
- Data encrypted in transit using TLS/SSL
- Data encrypted at rest in Firebase
- Firebase Security Rules limiting data access to authorized users only
- Regular security audits and updates
However, no method of transmission over the Internet is 100% secure. While we strive to protect your data, we cannot guarantee absolute security.
6. Data Retention
We retain your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide services. Specifically:
- Account Data: Retained until you delete your account
- Check-in Data: Retained for the duration of your account to power personalized features
- Messages: Retained until deleted by you or your partner
- Usage Data: Retained for up to 12 months for analytics purposes
7. Your Privacy Rights
7.1 Access and Portability
You can access your profile and check-in data at any time through the app. To request a copy of your data, contact us at privacy@match2love.com.
7.2 Control Over Sharing
You have full control over what check-in content becomes visible to your partner. Review and adjust sharing settings before each weekly check-in is processed into questions.
7.3 Deletion Rights
You can delete your account at any time through the app settings. Upon deletion:
- Your profile, check-ins, and messages are permanently deleted from our servers within 30 days
- Data shared with your partner will no longer be visible to them
- Local data on your device is immediately removed
- Some anonymized usage data may be retained for analytics

7.4 California Privacy Rights (CCPA)
If you are a California resident, you have additional rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act:
- Right to know what personal information we collect and how we use it
- Right to delete your personal information

Lucky Moi is not intended for users under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 18. Your information may be transferred to and processed in countries other than your own. These countries may have different data protection laws. By using Lucky Moi, you consent to the transfer of your information to the United States and other countries where our service providers operate.
